| A hybrid for a contest of =c-Chimera's which I had a lot of fun with! Species bio: Palude Venatrix's primary anatomy is based on a panther but with shorter, more waterproof fur. Around her back and primary parts like eyes and neck are scales inherited from the clearfin lionfish. They protect her whilst she lurks in swampy waters hunting her prey. Her ears, coming from the mouse-eared bat, are pivotable and highly sensitive to sounds and help in the hunt. Her spines, which are retractable and venomous are used not only as protection but also as a potent toxin to kill prey. Her tail and webbed feet, inherited from the beaver, are used to swim and steer. Her tail can also be used to alert jungle inhabitants of incoming danger, as well as scare enemies away and distract prey. |
